Assisting with and/or supervising personal tasks of daily life to enable the participant to live as autonomously as possible. These individual supports can be provided in a range of environments, including but not limited to, the participant’s own home
This support focuses on strengthening the participant’s ability to undertake tasks associated with the management of their supports. Plan management is the financial management of the plan supports including making payments to providers, expense claims processing, developing monthly statements for participants and claiming for payment from NDIA.
Participate In Community
Our goal is to support our clients in connecting with community support networks, cultural programs, social and recreational activities and transitioning to independence to be able to utilize these supports autonomously.
Group Centre Activities
Assisting participants to participate in group based community, social and recreational activities.
Developmental Life Skills
This support aims to assist clients (and family members where applicable) to create an effective and therapeutic work environment where a participant’s capacity has the ability to increase. We mentor participants step by step by supporting them in developing skills such as:
• Budgeting / financial management
• Participation in group activities Vocational skills training
• Pro-social modelling and mentoring Daily routines
• Hygiene routine
• Community participation integration Communication in group settings.
With this support we also teach appropriate communication skills to identify, evaluate and self-develop alternative solutions to problems. We believe that learning this knowledge is crucial, as it allows participants to autonomously continue developing other further life skills without lapsing into dependency on others.
AMC SUPPORT assists with household and domestic tasks, including cleaning your bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, living areas and other areas that you may require. This includes
- performing laundry and completing yard work,
- as well as washing, dusting, ironing, changing sheets, and
- other cleaning tasks.
Daily Tasks/Shared Living
This registration group incorporates assistance with and/or supervising tasks of daily life in a shared living environment, which is either temporary or ongoing, with a focus on developing the skills of each individual to live as autonomously as possible. This registration group includes short-term accommodation and assistance (e.g. respite care)
This type of support relates to assistance in our participants getting from one location to another
Depending on support level, a support worker can accompany the participant with their travel needs through public transport or their own vehicle. Participants can also choose to develop skills in using public transport independently.
Assistance In Coordinating Or Managing Life Stages, Transitions and Supports
we provide support and strengthen clients as they go through major stages, such as undertaking educational courses, renting, and/or undergoing employment.
As such life stages can be very overwhelming, we provide support for all levels to make the transition easy and smooth. Support we provide include:
- Implementing long term plans of support
- Resolving points of crisis
- Applying for rental tenancy
- Understanding utility bills
- Maintaining a budget plan
